Maiden voyage on our new raft!

Not really the maiden voyage for Eric, but for the family! We were surprised with a raft last week. To make a long story short, our very good friends borrowed our wood drift boat earlier this summer. They had a horrible accident happen, the boat is gone and they are all safe and unharmed PRAISE GOD! The boat was loved, but life is soooo much more important then material things. We let go of the fact of having a boat, and then last week, our friends came down our drive way with a wonderful family friendly raft. Something Eric has been really wanting to get. What a treat! So we took it out yesterday after church and had a great time, even though it was downright chilly!

Charis and Eric,
Hello from Washington! I recently ran into a bunch of our high school classmates and was feeling nostalgic, so I started googling people. I was thrilled to come across your blog. It has been so fun reading about your family..congratulations on 4 beautiful, happy boys! I also found Rachel's blog...she and I taught in Stanwood together before she moved to Alaska. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I'm reading about your family adventures! I love reading blogs and it is even better if I know them! We have a blog, too:

Hi Charis,

I married a guy from Conway (between Stanwood and Mount Vernon) and live in Conway now. It is 15 minutes from my family in Stanwood and 5 minutes from Scott's family. Craig is 2 1/2 and as I'm sure you feel, the light of my life. I never imagined being a Mom could be this perfect. Are you near family in Montana? And do you stay home with the boys? Hope to hear from you again. Our e-mail is: skhanseth@wavecable.com.

Take care,
Karen
