Great fun at Silverwood and Boulder Beach!

We finally made it to Silverwood/Boulder Beach. It is the closest amusement park to us. (4 hrs away) Bjorn earned a free ticket by reading 600 minutes, during a certain amount of time during this past school year. So we joined the Spears for some late summer fun. We made a full day of fun, starting with the 4 hour drive. We started at the water park and then moved over to the amusement park. We of course closed the park down at 10pm, which was actually 11pm our time. The kids did awesome and were going full strength to the end. I think the parents tuckered out around 8pm:) So we decided to find a hotel room instead of driving into the wee hours of the morning. Good decision!!!

Maiden voyage on our new raft!

Not really the maiden voyage for Eric, but for the family! We were surprised with a raft last week. To make a long story short, our very good friends borrowed our wood drift boat earlier this summer. They had a horrible accident happen, the boat is gone and they are all safe and unharmed PRAISE GOD! The boat was loved, but life is soooo much more important then material things. We let go of the fact of having a boat, and then last week, our friends came down our drive way with a wonderful family friendly raft. Something Eric has been really wanting to get. What a treat! So we took it out yesterday after church and had a great time, even though it was downright chilly!

At the lake!

On our way home from Missoula, we stopped in Lakeside to spend one more day with family from Alaska. The Stahle's got to stay one extra day, so that was an unexpected treat for us to see them again before they left.
Eli is practicing for when he can go in the water with that wakeboard!

Fun at the Water Park!

We got to go to a really fun water park, while we were in Missoula. The kids had a blast and the mom's did too!

Trip to the Bitteroot River

In between fair days, we were able to head down to the Bitteroot River to take a swim. You don't see Abby and I in the river, for a very good reason. BRRRRRRR! The kids are tough, we are not. My feet got wet though! :)

This is what Malea does all the time, the only reason Abby can figure out, is that her head gets hot because of her black hair. So Eli started doing the same thing.
No, those are not a monkey's, they are Bjorn and Kiersten on a rope swing under a bridge.
Crazy kids!

The Dreaded Fair!

Yes I really very strongly dislike the fair. I should probably just say that I hate the carnival area! Dirt, germs, lots of people, unsafe expensive rides and junk toys to be won:) Unfortunately my boys seem to love it so we had to experience one ride. So that is what we did! I was able to convince them of one ride, because we are going to a really nice amusement park in a week and a half. So that was my excuse! But the boys had a great time.

Third Day Concert!

We went to the Spear's house last week for some fun cousin times! The first thing we did was go to the fair where Kiersten was going to be showing her pig that she had raised for a 4H project. She did great by winning a purple ribbon for showmanship. But the pictures below are from the Third Day concert we went to the first night. The kids had a great time! You will also see a couple funny video clips from that concert.

A Boat that won't get very far!!!

Colton, Elijah and Carson (Hogan) were all in the little boat on very dry land, having just as much fun as they would if it were in the water. But much less stressful for the mom's this way. :) Colt kept bending over to talk to Carson and a very attentive big cousin, too cute.

A day out on Wild Horse Island!

We spent all day yesterday exploring/hiking/swimming and boating on Wild Horse Island. It is the largest island in Flathead Lake. Supposedly there really are still 3 wild horses left on there along with Big Horn Sheep and some nice size Mule Deer (which were spotted, not by my crew :) ) We had a great time with family and to top it off Grandpa and Grandma treated all 29 of us to dinner. FUN DAY! Spear Family!
