So I caved this year and took the boys to the fair on the last day possible!!!! We got free guest passes, so that was a big plus!! I let the boys pick one ride each and then it was all looking around and enjoying the dirty dusty surroundings!! :-) They loved looking at animals, but trying to keep 4 boys from terrorizing the animals is rather difficult to say the least!!! We ended our time with the Demolition Derby, which we waited 1 hour to see because I had the times mixed up. So the boys and I waited in the stands for 1 hour, not ideal, but the end result was well worth the wait!! Eric conveniently was playing football with church guys! He can really make himself scarce when it comes to parades and fairs!!! He did say to me when we got home, 'you are an awesome mom for taking the boys to a demo. derby'! Have to agree, if I may be so blunt! But to see the boys be excited about crashing cars makes it all worth it! I like to go outside of my interests and comfort zone too, and of course the 'thank you so much mom', is a bonus. Eli petting a mini horse

How funny! Our fair starts this Thursday and I am opposite of you... I love the fair! If it's not dumping rain like the forecast predicts... we are celebrating Parker's bday on Friday by going to the fair and taking one of his buddies to the Demo Derby. He turns 5, so we thought we should do something fun and memorable! Wish he could do it with his boy cousins, too! Love ya
Looks like a blast! You are a good mom for taking your boys on your own!
Love ya
