Gotta love 'Em!

WOW! I have never in my life, had to clean up a mess like this one.... My dear 3 year old and his dear cousin (won't mention any names :)) were up to no good. It probably only took them 5-10 minutes to make this mess. Don't tell anyone, but I think this happened about 3 weeks ago and I finally decided it was time to clean it up. Fortunately it was in the loft where nobody goes, so, out of site, out of mind right? Not really, it was really starting to bug me that I was putting it off. After far tooooo much procrastination, I dove in yesterday afternoon. According to Elijah, "I not going to do that ever again" let's really pray not!

This was the site in the loft! Only about 30 games and puzzles, completely dumped out and all mixed up. UGH!
Only 3 Monopoly games, 1 jr. and 2 regular - money, chance and community chest cards had to be sorted! (Wondering why we even have 3 Monopoly games???)
This is how the game area is supposed to look!
Only took me 3 hours to clean and sort that mess. IF it ever happens again (which I am sure it won't?!?!?!), I am seriously considering having a huge bonfire!!!!

OH my, what a mess! I bet that was fun! We don't have a Monopoly game so if you want to get rid of one sometime, we could take it off your hands for a price!
Love ya

Hi Charis,

I’m glad you stopped by the blog.  It has been fun looking at your family as well. You are truly a busy mom. 

Good for you for stepping out into the world of homeschooling. It can be daunting but God has so richly blessed our family in homeschooling that I’d never go back to another option unless God called us to. There are trials….many days I wonder why I’m doing this and if my kids will be hindered for life because of it. Then I have to shake to reality and look at where my kids are at spiritually and attitude wise (most of the time) and know that God has more concern about their character and walk with Him than he does about their academics. I don’t

If you have questions about things please do not ever hesitate to ask. I’d be happy to field any questions. We may school completely differently from what you do and you might find that what we do or have done will not work for you; or, maybe something we’ve tried along the way will be of help to you guys. I’ve found that each of my boys are different in their approach to learning and sometimes I clue in and sometimes I don’t get it right away. It’s a challenge, to be sure. 

Well, I’m off to get my boys mowing. Have a great afternoon. Tell your family hello for us.

Love,
Sandy
