We then had to return to the garage sale and sit around, again waiting for people to buy my junk. Finally packed up at 4pm and ran home to vaccum and mop the floor before company comes. I was litterally sweating because I had little time before our next schedule thing. I took the older three boys on a date to a concert. The main band was SuperChick, but first came Starlit Platoon, great band, but the second song in the fire alarms went off and we all had to evacuate the church. So we all spent an hour outside while the firemen cleared out the building. My boys made the best of the time and spent some male bonding time wrestling in the grass. Pretty funny! We were finally able to get back to the concert. Brit Nicole was up next. She was great and the boys didn't even complain about a girl singer. So great to have a girl be a positive role model for the young girls. Then came KJ-52 a rapper, the boys absolutely loved him. Uncle Kep would've been proud of the his rapping nephews. Great fun. Up next was Disciple, and lets just say that we spent that time out in the foyer. As Bjorn said, "this band is a little much, mom;" So we took a seat on the floor by Brit Nicole's merchandise table. Along comes Brit Nicole to sign autographs, we were in the way so I talked to her for a couple seconds. We then decided to head home without even seeing SuperChick (major disappointment for mommy) but it was 10:30 and the boys were really fading. So we missed out on them, but what a fun time. Christian music is awesome and it so nice to have that for the boys, instead of all the junk that is out there. So we get home and Bjorn says to Eric, "daddy, mommy even talked to that girl (Brit Nicole)" I guess that was a big deal, but I maybe said 8 words to her. So funny what they think. So that was the end of a very busy but fun day. Just thought I would share.

Dear Eric and Charis,
I googled your name Eric and came upon Thorness Times. What a great surprise! I saw your two oldest boys, but hadn't even seen pictures of your two youngest. I am going to be in Wyoming in early June and might be driving from there up to Seattle. I'd love to swing by and see you guys if I do in fact do that trip. Either way, I'd love to get in touch with all of you again. My e-mail is jdemerson@jserra.org . Looking forward to hearing from you!!
