Awesome Day of Snowmobiling with the Spears!

We went on a double date with Marc and Abby today snowmobiling! What an absolutely gorgeous day! Not a cloud in the sky, little chilly, but no complaints when the sun is out! We went on an awesome trail from north of Columbia Falls up the back side of Whitefish Mtn (formerly Big Mtn.) about 15 miles one way.

Eric and I up at the top of Whitefish Mtn with the snow ghosts!

More amazing scenery along the way!

Eric and Marc posing like a couple of henry's! Don't worry they didn't share a sled! Super fun day! Thanks Spears!

Valentine's Day!

Okay, so I have never documented anything I have made, maybe because I really don't make anything too exciting. But this year, I saw these cupcakes in a friends Martha Stewart magazine, and said I have to make those for my boys this Valentine's Day! So here is my attempt to be crafty, just to let you know, I am not, nor will I ever claim to be the "crafty" type! :-)
Homemade Raspberry cupcake batter. (delicious)

Cupcakes ready to go in the oven.

Finish product - Raspberry cupcakes with homemade buttercream frosting and lacy chocolate hearts!
I had extra batter and frosting so I decided to make a round cake with the leftovers and have this for dessert the night before Valentine's Day!

Colt's iceskating party!

Colt wanted another ice skating party, it's a good thing that his birthday is in February.
Colt - cutting the ice! :-)

The only time that the ice was available for open skate was this morning from 9:30-11. So I thought that donuts would be a good thing for the morning time. I know that donuts probably have just as much sugar as cake, but donuts just suit the a.m hours better. Colt was totally game for donuts.
Colt and his good friend Ethan! Ethan's mom is expecting their 4th boy, so we really click! :-)

Can't go wrong with Star Wars or Legos!! Thanks Ethan!

COLT is 8!!!!!!!

Today Colt turns 8! We decided to give him his present before we went out the door to his ice skating party. Eric found him an acoustic bass guitar. He has been asking for one and Eric found a barely used one at our local music store. Our boys have really developed an interest in music, due to the awesome exposure to music at church. So far Brady loves the electric, Bjorn is interested in the drums, Eli calls lead singer and Colt loves the bass guitar.
Here is Eric giving a few loving intructions for the handling of this guitar. If treated right, this guitar could last him a lifetime.

Colt and his bass! Happy Birthday Colt, we love you!
