Our Pink Lady!

So we switched things up a bit this time! Instead of buying a trailer to live in during remodeling, we bought an older motorhome. Why not have the most space possible:-/! (kidding) Eric found this motorhome on craigslist over in Spokane. So we made the short journey over there to pick it up. I was shocked by the amount of pink in this motorhome, but very relieved by how clean it was. Which for me trumps the pink! The boys aren't crazy about the color, but it hasn't stopped them from pretending it is their "tour bus" for their band. So this 27ft. motorhome will be our "home" for a couple months. It's summer (or supposedly it is :)) so I can do it!
Please don't be too jealous of my home!!!! :-) Literally wall to wall pink!!!

Oh, except the cabinets, they aren't pink! The countertop has a built-in blender, so posh! (doesn't work right now, but Eric is determined to make it work)

Why not add another warm body to the motorhome living????

Since we are moving into a motorhome for about 2 months, while our house is being remodeled. We thought "why not add another warm body to the mix?" So we went and bought a lap dog. First of all, I never thought I would have an indoor dog, yet alone a lap dog! But I caved and thought "what better time then now?!?!?!" So here is our trek to get our little dog.

The drive up to Essex which is past West Glacier. Beautiful drive!

Eli and little Boo Boo (Boo for short, she is a yorkie)

Kennel life!

Boo, she is a very sweet dog and I am sure she will love our cramped living quarters for a couple months! I will post a couple pics of our new "home"!

This Old House!!!

It may be old, but it is ours!!!!! We have walked through opened doors and feel so very blessed to see God's hand in it all! We have not actually paid for our house yet, but received word from the contractor who is buying the property, that it is a GO! So we will be moving this house onto the property we purchased. If all goes as "planned" it will be on our property by mid-June. It is a 1920 home, so lots of TLC is needed. But we are very excited about the possibilities! The move will be documented:-) Thanks for the prayers!

The green steps will not stay! :-)

Baseball Season!!

I love Baseball season! Several reasons: love to watch my boys play, usually means summer is right around the corner and it's really the only time I chew sunflower seeds and spit out the shell(yes, I know, not ladylike, oops). :-) Today was Brady's first game and he did awesome playing first base, right field and an inning pitching too! He even struck a kid out! Woohoo! Fun time freezing our behinds off, but there will be many more and now just praying for a little warmer temps.
Brady on first and ready!!!

Playing first and almost always extremely focused! Way to go Brady!

Spring is here!

Seems to me that Spring has sprung in MT!!! I seriously think there isn't a prettier place then here, when the weather changes. We joined Nana in Bigfork for lunch on the beach. There isn't usually this much beach, but we caught a day in the sun before the water rises in the lake. The boys loved it, and I was a little chilled as the wind picked up and blew the breeze off the water! :-)
A lot of beach and a lot of mountains!!!! Love, love, love it!

The boys always will find dirt, mud or water! That's what makes them boys! Fun day!

Hike with the cousins and Nana!

The Spear's came to town this last weekend, for some end of spring break and early Easter fun! We decided to take the kids on a hike on Friday. Nana and Carson got to join us too! The little ones kept up really well! So fun to get to the age where none of my need to be carried anymore! Eli finished all on his own!
Cousins at the top of Lonepine State park!

Cousins at the Lonepine visitor center. I realize my boys have their hands in front of their faces, but it was almost impossible to get a good one (even with my older boys)!

Okay, some explaning on this one. There were a bunch of samples of animal scat(poop) for the kids to try and match with the right animals. My Brady took this one and placed it behind the Bear! Classic boy!!!!
Cousins! There are so many pictures that Bjorn makes really silly faces or poses! Really great pics for the future slideshow, thinking there might be an embarrassed boy! :-)

Eli, Carson and Malea (yes that is scat, that my Eli is holding) He is probably even saying Poop!

Colt and Maddie by the scat and footprint samples!

Bjorn thought this piece of wood looked like the an index finger, so he is pulling the finger! So this entry really is starting to sound rather pottyish (if that is a word). Sorry!

Toast and Fried Eggs!

This was my attempt of April Fools! Not typically a holiday that I do anything with, but I saw this idea on MSN and it looked really cute and very simple! Very important criteria for me! We had my neices here to enjoy the little practical joke.
Bjorn and Kiersten checking out the toast and fried eggs for desert!

Cousins!
Brady! Okay, so the toast is a piece of pound cake lightly toasted, a little vanilla yogurt and an apricot half! A rather tasty April Fools treat!

Family Force 5 Awesomeness!!!!

We had a major treat at Skull Church last night!!! Probably the favorite band of the majority of our boys showed up for a concert! Family Force 5 rocked it good and the boys had a front row 'seat' or stand!! If you get the chance to see them in a show, definately a must. Our boys were loving every minute of it. Brady says today, "I had to pinch myself during the concert, to see if this was really real." Love it that the boys can hear and see some awesome bands and music and it really is cool to be a follower of Christ. If you haven't tuned in to Skull Church on line, you should really check it out on Wed. nights 7pm MST (skullchurch.com) Yes that was my little 'plug'! :-) But when you are passionate about something, why not??
Chap Stique rocking on the electric! You can see a couple of the boys arms in the pic. Right at the base of the stage!

Eli getting his shirt autographed! We forget he is 4 alot, because he wants to be one of the bigger boys all the time. ;-(

Colt, Eli, Brady, Bjorn and the band

Our boys, friends and the band!

If you dare, you may watch a clip of the concert, but you might want to make sure your volume is not on max!! It may not be your style of music:-) But we (yes and I mean me too) enjoy it!

Awesome Day of Snowmobiling with the Spears!

We went on a double date with Marc and Abby today snowmobiling! What an absolutely gorgeous day! Not a cloud in the sky, little chilly, but no complaints when the sun is out! We went on an awesome trail from north of Columbia Falls up the back side of Whitefish Mtn (formerly Big Mtn.) about 15 miles one way.

Eric and I up at the top of Whitefish Mtn with the snow ghosts!

Marc and Abby

More amazing scenery along the way!

Eric and Marc posing like a couple of henry's! Don't worry they didn't share a sled! Super fun day! Thanks Spears!

Valentine's Day!

Okay, so I have never documented anything I have made, maybe because I really don't make anything too exciting. But this year, I saw these cupcakes in a friends Martha Stewart magazine, and said I have to make those for my boys this Valentine's Day! So here is my attempt to be crafty, just to let you know, I am not, nor will I ever claim to be the "crafty" type! :-)
Homemade Raspberry cupcake batter. (delicious)

Cupcakes ready to go in the oven.

Finish product - Raspberry cupcakes with homemade buttercream frosting and lacy chocolate hearts!
I had extra batter and frosting so I decided to make a round cake with the leftovers and have this for dessert the night before Valentine's Day!

Colt's iceskating party!

Colt wanted another ice skating party, it's a good thing that his birthday is in February.
Colt - cutting the ice! :-)

The only time that the ice was available for open skate was this morning from 9:30-11. So I thought that donuts would be a good thing for the morning time. I know that donuts probably have just as much sugar as cake, but donuts just suit the a.m hours better. Colt was totally game for donuts.
Colt and his good friend Ethan! Ethan's mom is expecting their 4th boy, so we really click! :-)

Can't go wrong with Star Wars or Legos!! Thanks Ethan!

COLT is 8!!!!!!!

Today Colt turns 8! We decided to give him his present before we went out the door to his ice skating party. Eric found him an acoustic bass guitar. He has been asking for one and Eric found a barely used one at our local music store. Our boys have really developed an interest in music, due to the awesome exposure to music at church. So far Brady loves the electric, Bjorn is interested in the drums, Eli calls lead singer and Colt loves the bass guitar.
Here is Eric giving a few loving intructions for the handling of this guitar. If treated right, this guitar could last him a lifetime.

Colt and his bass! Happy Birthday Colt, we love you!

Our Rocker!

I love that our boys love music! So we had a 'dance party' the other night and here is a video clip of Eli 'rockin' it to Flyleaf!! He gets so serious and tries to sing the words, but all of his lyrics look the same after while. He does have the timing down for sure!!!
