Sunday Shootin'

We decided to go shooting yesterday evening, after finishing a few projects around the house. So we packed up all the guns, ammo, targets and testosterone (sp) in the truck and made the pretty little drive to the "shooting range". We had a great time!

Colt taking a shot!

Eli patiently waiting his turn!

Then below, the pure thrill of hitting the target. Don't worry that is just a bb gun and no one was hurt! :-) Gotta start 'um young!!

Woohoooooo! Such energy and enthusiasm! Wish sometimes I could bottle it up and take some myself!
The boys went "hunting" for used bullets that were everywhere. Appparently Colt thinks that he should be able to sell each one for a dollar! He made some serious dough if that is how much he will get for each bullet! :)

Daddy and the boys going over safety rules again, again and again!

Brady following the rules!

Mommy trying to hit something! Let's just say I need more practice! :)

Bjorn has an amazing shot! He can't wait for hunting with daddy in 1 1/2 yrs.

Coloring is Soooo tiring!

SO last night, I was busily tiring to get the boys something to eat before church. The only thing that usually keeps Eli out of the kitchen and entertained for any amount of time is his Color wonder book. He loves it, but it is apparently very exhausting too! Play hard and then crash!!!

Hiking with my boys!

Yesterday was another beautiful day! So we decided to take another day off of school and go on a hike. It wasn't a tough hike, but it was an uphill hike for 1.5 miles on the way there. Eli was a trooper and hiked almost the whole way on his own. Once at the top, there is an observation area, with the native animals to the park. The boys loved touching and feeling of all the pelts, footprints and even matching the poop to the animal. Right up boy alley! Fun day! I do love the flexibility that homeschool offers, but then I really have to push myself to start schooling again, ugh! :)
