Well here is a post that has been requested of me by my son! He finally spent more of his birthday money last week and chose Indiana Jones lego set. He sat at the kitchen counter for a couple hours getting it all together and then while I was out staining (again) he decided to get the camera out and take some pictures of his work. He has been asking me to post an entry about his work. He even had them all set up on the counter. Good job, Bjorn!

Hockey!!!!
These aren't the greatest pics, but that is because Brady is going through a disliking of picture stage. But I thought I would brag on my son for a minute. We are in football season and his other chosen sport this year is hockey. So there aren't enough football practices for his liking, so he has really been working on his roller blading skills to prepare him for ice skates. Let me tell you, when he puts his mind to something, he gives it his all and then some. He spends a lot of time out in the garage and now is able to skate around in circles using the cross over turn skill and then make a quick turn around and head the other direction. These pics don't show it all but he is really doing well in our opinion. So I might end up being a hockey mom! I'd much rather be that then a pit bull! :) Lipstick is always better! His cross over turn!

Our Crazy Boys!
Just had to share these pics taken today! Eric was cleaning out the garage and Colt and Brady found some of his clothes and were being rather silly. Colt was being hysterical, check out his faces. Crazy kids! Colt and his great surprise/laugh face!
Colt and his crazy quirky smile
Elijah, Colt and Brady
Elijah, doesn't everybody ride their "cooter" in their underwear?
The crazy Thorness sons behind Eric's work trailer. Can't wait for all those crazy boys to join the "Thorness & Sons" crew.

Painted House!
Just wanted to post a couple pics of the house with color on it. It is not done yet, you will not see a pic of from the east side of the house. Also the posts and beams will be stained the color of the fascia, if you can visualize that? I will post final pics when we finish. Front door
The soffits took Eric the longest and definitely was his least favorite part, but very worth the final result.

Eric's Birthday!
Eric's birthday was yesterday and it was our first full day of homeschool. So it was a very busy day. But fortunately Eric offered for us all to go out to eat for dinner. So we went up to Whitefish, to a really yummy Italian restaurant Mambo Italiano! Awesome food and a good family dinner! We then returned home to enjoy the coconut cream pie that I made for him (one of his favorite things). Unsure why Brady is making that face, but he manages to slip a silly face into almost every picture. (maybe it is a second child thing, huh Rach?)
Eli lucked out to be the one to blow the match out, wouldn't want any spit on the pie :)
Eli just being silly and cute!

Meet and Greet Teacher Day!
Our first day of homeschooling and it was meet and greet teacher day! We start with our new curriculum on Monday! The boys seem really excited, so if we can keep that enthusiasm, that would be great.

My really good find yesterday!!!
I was so excited to find these, I just had to share. For those of you who don't know, we are homeschooling this year and very excited about it. We decided to make the loft above the boys room, a school room, so therefore we needed desks. I called around yesterday to schools, they had nothing. One of the receptionists mentioned that she had seen some desks at the local goodwill. So I called the goodwill, and sure enough they had desks and chairs. The most awesome thing is that the desk/chair combination were $7.50 per set. I spent a total of $30 for all for desks and chairs. When we got home Eric unloaded the desks and chairs and this is what I found when I came outside. Are they ready for school or what? Of course they were moved upstairs later on in the night. :) But schooling outside isn't such a bad idea!!!
We got them washed up and ready to take inside! Don't worry, I didn't buy the desks with their names on them, I picked up a whole pack of My name is... at Target in the $1 bins. Gotta love it!

Bjorn's surprise birthday!
We had a surprise birthday for Bjorn a week before his actual birthday, because the Idyle's and Grandma and Grandpa were here. As it turns out, it was a good thing we did that, because on Bjorn's actual birthday he had a nice bout of the stomach flu. We had to cancel his other party with my family. Poor Boy! But he was very surprised and it was fun to spend a birthday with family from out of town. Thanks Bon, Shelli and Haley for helping make it a surprise. :) Walking in to the house with a big surprise!
After the shock wore off, he was able to give a smile.
The much anticipated pair of Heely's from g'ma and g'pa! (now I don't have to hear about his desire to have a pair) :)
An awesome air soft gun from the Idyle's.
Happy Birthday to you!!!
